The new single – Pull The Trigger – is now available for download (and stream).
Recorded as part of the upcoming Protocol album, the song is the first release since the Area 51 EP in October 2018.
I can finally reveal the promotional video for “Pull The Trigger” – give it a listen and see what you think! It is the first taster of what is to come from the upcoming PROTOCOL album.
Many thanks to Myk Media who produced and directed the video, and to Bob Osborne of German Shepherd records for hosting.
Some stills from the video can be found below.
Hello all! First of all my apologies for the lack of updates. I had no idea it had been so long, social media seems to dominate at the moment so the humble website got a little ignored.
I hope to bring a glimmer of good news admidst all this doom and gloom… a new Night Operations single will be released via German Shepherd Records on 8th May – distributed through the Bandcamp page, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music etc.
With artwork produced by Bryn Thorburn (The Screaming Love Collective, The Mind Sweepers), Pull The Trigger will be a download/stream release and will appear on upcoming album – Protocol (release date TBC).
The single is typically dark, at just over 3 minutes quite immediate – and the music has a slight industrial feel. The lyrics are probably the darkest I have ever written, dealing with a person who is already suffering mental instability and has became radicalised over media and willing to sacrifice their own personal freedom by killing anyone who challenges their agenda. A promotional music video has been produced and will be revealed shortly.

The ninth edition of the Night Operations Podcast has now been uploaded to Mixcloud.
If you have not listened before, the podcast is a selection of mostly new tracks of electronica/beats that I am listening to and enjoying at present with a Night Operations feel. There are 8 others on the mixcloud page so plenty to listen to. Each podcast runs at over an hour and most of them have no talking, just music so you can concentrate on what is important! You can listen to the latest podcast on this link:
You can access all previous Night Operations Podcasts and previous podcasts and radio shows I have hosted on this link:
If you are a registered user on Mixcloud please follow me and show your support.
The Music page has been much improved with more detailed release notes provided by Leon Schneider along with the addition of the Area 51 EP to the discography.
Phil Crowder has kindly given that very same track an airing on his excellent End Of Week show, 15 September 2019 edition. Click here to have a listen.
Big thanks again to long-time Night Operations supporter Phil Crowder for featuring the sublime Razor Apple mix of Forbidden Fruit on his latest show – an electronic music special of his end of week show on Sheppey FM.
You can listen to all 4 hours of it (!) by clicking here.
Just a quick update to say I am still alive and the Night Operations project lives on. I have been busy working on a new album, the good news is that it should not be too long before you finally get to hear some new music. The album will be titled Protocol and looks like will feature at least 10 new tracks. It is not confirmed yet but it will most likely be released on German Shepherd Records like the previous releases. Watch this space for further information.
At the end of July, the first Night Operations podcast went live on Mixcloud. The reception was better than expected given the minimal promotion, and there have been several podcasts since. The podcasts generally run for around an hour and give an insight into the sort of music I listen to when I’m not writing or recording my own.
You can check out the latest podcast from 9 September 2018 (and all the others) by clicking here.
If you have a Mixcloud account be sure to subscribe where you will be immediately notified of any further podcasts and can favourite them for future listening.
